Sean obtained his Civil Engineering degree graduating with honours from the University of NSW, Sydney. Majoring in road construction, and water and wastewater engineering he moved into rural NSW fulfilling varying roles including Director of Engineering Services of Bourke Shire Council, General Manager of Darling Irrigation and most recently Project Manager with Sudholz Construction Goondiwindi prior to the establishment of RPMS.

  • Project Management of Road Construction, Bulk Earthworks, Feedlot and Subdivision Projects
  • Document preparation for OHS, Quality and Environmental Management
  • Contract Management including delivery of Tender Processes for Clients

Bruce commenced his career in the building and construction industry in 1970. Since this time Bruce has worked as a General Manager, Consultant and Project Manager in disciplines from design, documentation and construction and these roles have taken him across Australia and to the UK, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Naurelle obtained her civil Enginering degree from the Queensland University of Technology. She has worked in the private sector on Section 4 of the Southern Bus Way, Subdivisions and Tilt up construction before moving into the Works area of Brisbane City Council. With Brisbane City Council, her major project was the Learoyd Road, Acacia Ridge upgrade as well as traffic calming in residential streets, and School safe projects. She then moved to Beaudesert Shire Council to work in the Water and Sewerage area, then to Boonah Shire Council as Manager of Water and Waste. Naurelle then moved to Warwick Shire Council to work in the Capital Works area, managing the bridge replacement program, budgets and estimates.

Naurelle’s key area of competency are:
  • Project Management of bridge reconstruction/replacement
  • Development of Total Management Plans for Water and Sewerage
  • Financial management and estimating for local government and private industry

Stephen grew up in his family business of earthmoving. From the time he could walk Stephen was taught to operate scrapers, graders, excavators, compactors and other items of earthmoving equipment. He has worked as an Operator, Supervisor, and Business Owner over the past 20 year period. More recently, Stephen used his highly developed skills in operation and turned to a career as a Site Foreman. Stephen has managed a number of major projects including an $8M Municipal Storage for Mackay City Council which had a total of 32 machines onsite directly under Stephen’s supervision.

Stephen’s key areas of competency are:

  • Site Supervision of bulk earthworks projects
  • Utilisation of Laser and GPS Technology for the delivery of Civil Construction works
  • Operation of Scrapers, Graders, Loaders, Excavators and compaction equipment
  • Implementation of onsite Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems

Liam Rice commenced his career as a qualified heavy diesel mechanic. Following completion of this trade, Liam moved into the Irrigation and Pumping Industry to become an installations specialist. Liam used the time in this role to hone is OHS and general Management skills, and after some time became the Secretary Manager of the Bourke Bowling Club. In early 2009 Liam joined RPMS based out of Bourke, to provide OHS and project related services to clients in the surrounding area.

R.A (Dick) Sudholz
Project Management

Dick Sudholz owned and operated the civil construction company Sudholz Pty Ltd as Managing Director for a period of over 45 years. Working on projects over most of Queensland and New South Wales ,Dick has the enviable reputation of knowing more about Irrigation and Water Construction projects than most if not all Contractors in the construction Industry. The company was involved in the Design and Construction of Irrigation, Water and Sewage Works, Powerline Foundations, Roads, Bridges and Concrete Precasting.

Dick’s key areas of competency are:

  • Project Management of Bulk Earthworks projects including Dams, Channels and embankments for Irrigation, Gas and Civil Works.
  • Overseeing design and installation of Pump Station and Pipeline Projects for the Irrigation Industry.
  • Overall management of a Consulting Engineering and Construction businesses delivering projects professionally on time and in budget.
  • Provision of professional advice for the design of irrigation systems and ongoing maintenance management

Dr John Wolfenden
Project Manager and Planner
B.Ec. Hons (1), PhD, MPIA, MEIANZ


John has experience working in the public sector (Telecom), the education sector (University of New England), and the private sector (Senior consultant with Wakefield Planning and Project Manager with Rice Project Management Services). During this time, he has developed a good understanding of Local Government procedures and practices through a number of consulting projects that he has undertaken.
Whilst being substantively trained in economics, town and regional planning and systems theory, John is technically literate in a number of other disciplines including water and environmental management. Additionally, John is a competent systems modeller and has strengths in budgeting and financial control.
John has many years of experience as a project manager, with a particular emphasis on conceptual design and knowledge-based projects.

John’s key areas of competency are:

  • Project management
  • Project scoping and conceptual design
  • Financial and economic analysis
  • Town planning / development applications
  • Community / stakeholder facilitation
  • Institutional analysis
